First you must remember that “Enthusiasm breeds success and success breeds enthusiasm.”
When I run out of enthusiasm for a project (which is why you don’t finish) here’s what I do.
The first thing I do, on a continuing basis, is congratulate myself for even the tiniest success. I celebrate all victories, no matter how small. That is HUGE in maintaining enthusiasm.
- It may just be a fist pump like you see Tiger Woods do after a great shot.
- It may be a “pat on the back” that I give myself.
- I may hug myself.
- I may jump in the air.
- I may skip around like a kid.
- I may do a “ta-da!”
A friend of mine, who was also a speaker, bought an “Easy Button” from Staples. When he completes any tiny project or task, he hits the “Easy Button” that says “That was easy.” You know what? I went out and bought one, and now I do the same. You would be amazed at what it does to your attitude!

My goal is to Create a World-Wide Epidemic of ENTHUSIASM.
Enthusiasm is
• Contagious
• Infectious
• Viral
• Catching
• Creative
• Positive
• Inspiring
With Enthusiasm:
- All things are possible,
- Energy is produced, not consumed.
In fact, the only thing that Enthusiastic Energy consumes is our doubts;
- So, rather than spending time and energy doubting
- We are investing that same time and energy being productive!
Being productive makes us happy, and that leads to more enthusiasm, giving us the Recognition and Realization of even more possibilities, which creates MORE Possibilities!
Possibilities produce more and more Enthusiasm. Therefore:
- Creating enthusiasm is the Great Productivity Booster, both personally and professionally.
• When people are Productive, they Prosper
• When they Prosper, they are Happy and continue to produce
• Continued Production leads to Provision for their families and others
• Providing for others leads to JOY
• Joy leads to excellent Health
• Excellent health leads to more Productivity…..
What a great cycle!
I have enthusiasm for life, and my chief goal in life is to spread that enthusiasm to others!
I want to live a life enthused! I want others to live a life enthused!
I want others to see that Divine Spark — that Divine light that shines in me and energizes me!
I want to spread that light, that enthusiasm throughout the world, so that others will catch it!
“So what about passion?” you may ask, dear readers. Yes, This world we live in talks often about “Passion.”
The difference is this:
- Passion can be negative.
- Passion can be destructive.
- Passion can be selfish.
- Often those with “passion” malign and tear down those who are not in agreement with that passion.
- Passion, without enthusiasm, can see possibilities for the domination of others, for putting them down, for destruction of others and institutions in order to fuel that passion.
Enthusiasm, as defined by being Indwelt by the Divine, can only Create.
- Enthusiasm, by its very definition, is Creative, Builds up, Exhorts.
- It sees Possibilities for Creation, for Life.
- It Cannot tear down and destroy.
In this place, let’s TALK about WAYS to CREATE ENTHUSIASM in our lives so we can build up and motivate those around us:
- Our Children
- Our Teenagers
- Our Mates
- Our Co-workers
- Our Employees
- Our Employers (Yes, they get “bogged down” too!)
- Our friends
- Everyone we come in contact with.
Please Post Your comments.
To your Success,
Enthusiast
